A Playdate with Friends
My good friend Brittany and Emma's pal Ada stopped by today for a visit. They kindly brought us yummy food from Chik-fil-a (thanks Jeff!). Both girls (meaning little ones - even though mommies too probably) were in need of naps. So we set out to put the girls down for a snooze and enjoy some grown up girl time while we ate. Emma was set in her bassinet, Ada went upstairs to try out Emma's crib. Neither girl was very happy about this arrangement. Me, being the new mom, was trying to let Emma "cry it out" a little. It didn't work too well. Ada was unhappy about being in a crib - and then we tried the pack and play - that was not hers! So while we tried to enjoy a quiet moment of adult conversation, our two sweetheart of girls cried in unison, both with very distinguishable cries. We looked at each other and laughed. So, this is what our new lives had come to!! What did we ever do before? Unfortunately, we do not have pictures to document the event!

I have never heard baby cries sound so much like ambulance sirens. They definitely were in sync at one point. Loved our grown up time even though it was slightly interrupted:) Will have to do it again soon and maybe Jeff will even hook us up again.
At least you got in some good adult converstaion! lol. Welcome to motherhood, huh? :-)
